I am so blessed and privileged to have had the opportunity to train as a medical doctor in Cambridge University. Over the years, I have heard people ask \u201cWhat do Doctors know about diet and nutrition?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0The basic medical training is a minimum of 5 years. For Student doctors to “know everything\u201d, the course would need to be prolonged for at least an extra 2.5 years, to incorporate all the others sub-specialties that people expect doctors to have a vast knowledge and expertise in! It\u2019s not practical and we are not superheroes! The airline pilot cannot check in the luggage,\u00a0load the luggage onto the plane, check the tickets, serve the food and fly the plane as well.<\/p>\n
However,\u00a0comments like those above and my inherent appetite for all things whole and healthy spurred me on to obtain further qualifications. At work,\u00a0\u00a0I am known as the \u201cDiet\u201d and \u201cMental\u201d doctor!
