The NHS provides an arguably second to none service for those in the UK, and it is free at source, although funded through Income tax and National Insurance contributions and to a lesser extent by prescription charges. Patients can usually access their GP during the “in hours” and “extended hours” of 7am to 8pm, and out of hours via 111 from 6.30pm to 8am. Occasionally, these hours are not convenient, and people require a GP service.<\/p>\n
